Course content
• Maintaining a calm and reassuring demeanor
• Instructing the individual to sit upright and lean forward
• Pinching the soft part of the nose to apply pressure
• Avoiding tilting the head back
• Applying an ice pack or cold compress to the bridge of the nose
• Monitoring the individual for signs of excessive bleeding
• Seeking medical attention if the nosebleed does not stop after 20 minutes
• Providing guidance on preventing future nosebleeds
• Reviewing the steps with the individual and ensuring they understand the instructions
